Pour-On agent to be used as a veterinary medicine for the control of (the larvae of) the Culicoides mosquito on sheep, goats and cattle in connection with Bluetongue.

Butox Protect is a pour on suspension for cattle and sheep. The product can be used for:

Fly treatment in Cattle.

Treatment and prevention of infestations with the following ectoparasites:

• bloodsucking lice (Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus)

• biting lice (Bovicola bovis).

And/or control of:

• stinging flies (Stomoxys calcitrans, Haematobia spp.) and nuisance flies (Musca spp., Hippobosca spp.).

Fly Treatment in Sheep

Treatment and prevention of infestations with the following ectoparasites:

• bloodsucking lice (Linognathus ovillus)

• Biting lice (Bovicola ovis)

• sheep louse fly (Melophagus ovinus)

Butox pour on is effective against flies and lice for up to ten weeks and is easy to administer.

Effective fly control

Effective fly control begins at the sight of the first fly. Repeat treatment after 8-10 weeks. Apply Butox evenly to the center of the back and then from the neck to the base of the animal's tail. Butox may be used during gestation and lactation.

Long duration of action

The duration of action of Butox is up to 10 weeks against flies, giving an animal year-round protection with only 3 treatments. Butox pour-on is not approved for use on horses.Before administering, read the enclosed package insert.

DOSAGE:
Sheep and goats : 10ml per animal.

Cattle : up to 100kg 10ml , from 100-300kg 20ml , above 300kg 30ml in case of reinfection repeat treatment after 6-8 weeks.
