Noromectin Injektion
Noromectin Injection is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent for non-dairy cattle and swine. It is used for the treatment and prevention of:
Gastrointestinal worms (including Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Cooperia).
Lungworms (Dictyocaulus viviparus)
Scabies mites (Sarcoptes scabiei)
Lice (Linognathus, Haematopinus)
Bovine hornworm larvae (Hypoderma spp.)
Active ingredient:
Ivermectin: a macrocyclic lactone with a potent effect on a broad spectrum of endo- and ectoparasites. It works by disrupting the nervous and muscular systems of the parasites, causing them to become paralyzed and die.
Dosage:
Cattle: 1 ml per 50 kg of body weight
Pigs: 1 ml per 33 kg body weight
Administration: intramuscular or subcutaneous, depending on manufacturer's and veterinarian's instructions.
Waiting periods:
Pigs: meat: 35 days
Cattle: meat: 42 days
Important: Do not administer within 60 days before calving.
Safety and Precautions:
Use only in animals for which the drug is registered.
Overdose may cause neurological symptoms, such as tremors or ataxia, especially in young or sick animals.
Ivermectin may be toxic to certain dog breeds (e.g., Collies) when exposed; watch for cross-contamination.
Keep children and unauthorized persons away from the drug.
Use personal protective equipment when administering.
Storage:
Store at room temperature (15-25°C), protected from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Additional Notes:
Effectiveness may vary depending on parasite resistance. Regular parasite control is recommended.
Consider integrating deworming programs in combination with management measures (e.g., pasture management) for sustained control.
