Green clay for animals
Vertargil green clay is composed 100% by nature, unprocessed and has been used since ancient times. Clay is a living, intelligent substance whose functioning has never been simulated in the laboratory. Farmers traditionally treated the ailments of their pets and livestock with clay. Often it was thanks to wild animals that people discovered the places with healing soil. It was noted that injured animals wallowed in the mud in special places and then quickly recovered.

Green clay or green clay seems to be the most powerful and most effective of the clay types and is highly cleansing. Green clay contains many minerals such as aluminum, iron, silicon, calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium. Residual traces of hydrogen, titanium, chlorine, phosphorus, carbon, manganese and sulfur have been found.

Properties of green clay for animals
Many veterinarians and naturopaths make grateful use of the many properties of clay:
Strong cleansing: purifies the skin
Natural support for skin problems
Supports the skin's regenerative capacity
Acts as a natural drawing ointment
Support for sensitive muscles and joints

INSTRUCTIONS
Slowly pour the desired amount of clay into a bowl (not metal) containing an equal amount of water. Let all this settle for some time without stirring so that the clay can absorb the water well. Drain the excess water and the pasta is ready to use. It is advisable to use purified or spring water, because tap water usually contains chlorine, which can adversely affect the functioning of the clay. The remainder of the clay can be stored, provided it is not sealed and remains under a layer of water and in contact with light and air. SO DO NOT CLOSE !
If the paste dries out, add some water again, let it soak in, pour off excess water and the new paste is ready.

Apply the paste in a layer of 0.5 to 1 cm thickness directly on the skin or affected area. You can keep this layer in place with gauze or plastic wrap. Remove the applied layer one or more times a day and apply a new layer. Note: leave pieces of clay that have not yet dried in, as the clay is still working there.

You can enhance the effect of Vertargil green clay in certain indications by adding tea tree oil in an amount of 15 to 20 drops per kg of paste prepared. A ready-to-use tube of tea tree and tavender is also available for veterinary use. If necessary, consult the vet for advice.

EXTERNAL USE.
Green clay is used externally for, among other things, thick legs, wounds and to protect the skin of the tail and mane.
However, use on wounds and damaged skin is not without risk and should be used with care.
If the clay is left in place for too long, waste products from the wound can "break in" and an infection can develop.
The clay should never be left on for more than 12 hours; the hardened clay must then be removed from the skin.

Quality
In the deep south of France, layers of clay have been formed over millions of years. Due to the warm, sunny climate, a lot of solar energy is stored in the clay. The clay is extracted, dried in the sun and finely vibrated and filtered using a special technique. Each batch is lab checked for the highest content standards to ensure top quality!
