Description

Dimilin 4%

Dimilin maggot death contains the active ingredient Diflubenzuron.
Dimilin 4% granulate is intended as a spreading agent. The active ingredient Diflubenzuron is a new type of insecticide (insect growth regulator) that is active against the larval stages of various insect species and that also acts on the molting mechanism of the fly larvae. This prevents the larvae from developing into an adult fly.

Dimilin 4% granules maggot death ensures that the larvae no longer produce chitin after contact with this product. Chitin is necessary for building the skeleton. The larvae are therefore not killed immediately, but cannot pupate. As a result, the larvae literally grow to death.

Dimilin Madendood starts to work optimally after 2 to 3 weeks and the big advantage is that these products have a long after-effect and are not dangerous for the health of the farmer and the animals. The agent can simply be used when the animals are present in the stable. Because these products only work optimally after 2 to 3 weeks, it is important to work preventively with these products. We recommend repeating the treatment every 5 to 6 weeks. How long these agents take effect depends on how much manure is produced. On average, this product works for 6 to 7 weeks. In practice, it sometimes turns out to work for 12 weeks. This is because less manure is then produced.

Fly larvae are controlled by treating the breeding grounds with Dimilin granulate. These are mainly places where moist manure and feed residues collect. Since Dimilin only kills the larvae, it can take about 2-3 weeks for the number of flies present to decrease significantly. Therefore, the best control is obtained if the granulate is applied prophylactically every 5-6 weeks.
