Equimax is a deworming agent for horses. With 2 active ingredients, ivermectin and praziquantel, Equimax has the widest possible spectrum of action. Equimax is the first all-in-one dewormer, effective against all harmful nematodes, cestodes and horn larvae in horses and ponies in one dose.
Formulated with 14% praziquantel, Equimax is effective against all tapeworm species. Recent studies show a relationship between the presence of tapeworm infections and the risk of ileo-caecal colic in horses.

At least two treatments per year with Equimax effectively protect the horse from the harmful effects of tapeworm infections. In addition, Equimax provides broad protection against nematodes (up to 10 weeks after administration) and horn larvae. Equimax can be safely administered to all horses, ponies, (pregnant) mares, (breeding) stallions and foals from the age of 2 weeks.

Proper dosage is very important for effective deworming of the horse. The dosage of anthelmintics depends on body weight. 40% of adult warmblood horses in the Netherlands weigh between 600 and 700 kg.
